Passing Out Parade Marks New Beginnings for Agniveers

On Thursday, the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAK LI) Regiment Centre in Srinagar hosted the Passing Out Parade (POP) for its fifth batch of Agniveers, welcoming 326 new recruits into the Indian Army.

These Agniveers underwent an intensive 31-week training program focusing on physical fitness, mental resilience, and tactical skills before proudly marching together during the attestation ceremony. The event was attended by senior Army officials, instructors, and the families of the recruits.
The Reviewing Officer, a high-ranking Army official, commended the new soldiers and urged them to honor the esteemed legacy of the JAK LI Regiment with steadfast dedication and bravery.

One Agniveer expressed, “I feel fantastic. The past 31 weeks were challenging. It was wonderful to reunite with my parents after seven months.” Another recruit shared, “Graduating feels rewarding after all the hard work I put in for this opportunity. I’m excited to return home after such a long time. More young people should consider joining the army.”

Another Agniveer stated, “I take pride in my graduation, especially given the rigorous training. We are committed to safeguarding our nation, and I am prepared to serve anywhere in the country.”

A parent attending the ceremony remarked, “Today is a day of great joy. The recruits who were chosen for the army have successfully completed their training, and today’s parade is a celebration of that achievement. I encourage today’s youth not to remain idle after their studies, as we live in a competitive world. With Eid approaching, we have two reasons to celebrate.”

Another parent from Kupwara shared his joy regarding the POP, stating, “We are thrilled to see my son graduate in this parade. That’s why we are here to witness this moment. We are delighted to be part of this event, especially in light of the current unemployment situation.”
